TapNTable 0.10.7: customers get a dossier and the account finds its past

The portal belongs to customers

The customer portal - orders, favourites, invoices, rewards, reservations, coupons - now truly requires an active customer role on every page, not just some. Staff no longer wanders in with a work account; whoever needs to see the portal uses a test customer account. And new registrations now start with e-mail verification - one click on the link and the account is confirmed.

The account finds what you did as a guest

Ordered takeaway three times with your e-mail before creating an account? As soon as you verify that e-mail, the history joins your account - orders and loyalty points included, balances summed. Verification is what makes this safe: nobody can register with someone else’s e-mail to see their purchases. For older accounts, staff has a manual association action, with confirmation and a full audit trail.

A dossier per customer

Customer management is no longer just a list: each customer now has a page of their own with order history from every channel (including guest orders), reservations with the reliability record, loyalty balance and tier, contact details and staff notes. What used to live scattered across four screens is now in one place.

Repeat no-shows pay a deposit

If no-show reservations cost you money, there is a new rule: set a no-show limit and, past it, that customer only books with a deposit - even if deposits are switched off for everyone else. The rule is enforced on the server, applies to the site, the widget and the portal, and steps aside on its own if there is no way to charge the deposit.

Newsletter only with permission

We confirmed and pinned with tests what was already true: a newsletter’s “all customers” audience only reaches people who gave explicit marketing consent. No opt-in, no e-mail - as the law demands.

Version 0.10.7 is available now and reaches installations through the built-in updater, as usual.
