TapNTable 0.10.6: watertight payments and a single receipt

The payments switch is now truly in charge

Turning online payments off in settings now closes every door: the fifteen payment entry points - table, takeaway and reservation deposits - refuse the request on the server, instead of trusting the page to hide the buttons. Anyone mid-payment is never stranded: return and status legs stay open, for the same reason as always - money that already moved must be able to finish its journey.

The payment closes the table, browser or no browser

If a customer pays the table bill and closes the browser before the confirmation, the gateway’s notification now does the whole job: the order is marked paid and the table is finalized - freed if everything is settled, held for collection if a cash order is still owed. Paid-but-pending no longer exists. Legal consent is now also recorded on MB WAY, card and link payments, as it already was on the rest of the checkout.

Deleting a paid order (or a refunded one, or one with a gateway payment reference) is no longer possible - the app refuses with a clear message and points to the right path: cancel. Deleting stays reserved for unpaid orders. Money history does not vanish by accident.

One receipt, the same everywhere

The receipt used to be three different layouts depending on the page. It is now a single document - on the POS, the takeaway confirmation, the customer portal, the print-out and the email - with the same fiscal content in all of them. The tax ID now behaves properly too: when you require it in settings, the checkout asks the customer for it (who may decline, as the law demands); when given, the receipt prints it; when not, it prints just “Final Consumer” - no fictitious numbers in sight. Old invoices remain readable and downloadable even without the payments addon - a fiscal document is a fiscal document.

Tidying underneath

Invoice numbering is now independent per branch (each branch has its own series, no collisions), currency formatting fell in line in the last remaining spots, and a public page stopped carrying contact data it never displayed.

Version 0.10.6 is available now and reaches installations through the built-in updater, as usual.
