TapNTable 0.10.4: the storefront catches up with the rest of the house
The storefront now tells the whole truth
The public menu - the storefront any visitor sees without scanning a table QR - was built by its own code path, separate from the table menu and takeaway. That is over: it now uses exactly the same engine, and the differences nobody asked for are gone in one sweep.
In practice: each dish’s allergen notes now show on the storefront too, not just at the table; the daily dish is visible to people still deciding whether to walk in (with no order button - it is a storefront); and promotions behave like everywhere else in the app - turn promotions off in the marketing settings and the banner and badges vanish from the storefront instantly, which was not the case before. Currency fell in line as well: the storefront formats prices with the same default currency as the rest of the house.
Each item picks its channels
Every dish now has two new switches in the editor: “visible in dine-in” and “visible in takeaway”. A dish designed to travel can leave the table menu, and a stew that does not travel well can leave takeaway - no tricks, no duplicated items. The POS is unaffected: staff always sees and sells everything. Turn both off and the item becomes counter-only.
Tokens with a 4th digit
On a very busy day, token 999 no longer wraps around to 000 - it moves on to 1000, 1001 and beyond. No repeats within the same day, no two tables hearing the same number called. The next day the counter starts back at 001, as always.
Cleanup on the inside
Per-item “extras” had two parallel implementations: option groups, with a full editor, and an old extras list that never got a management interface. The old list has been removed entirely - option groups cover everything, from sizes to paid sides - and with it went tables, columns and dead code across every channel. Fewer parts, fewer surprises.
Version 0.10.4 is available now and reaches installations through the built-in updater, as usual.
