TapNTable 0.10.19: the Daily Dish, day by day

The Daily Dish now thinks in days

The Daily Dish screen has been redesigned from the ground up. Instead of lists of templates and abstract groups, you see the week: one card per active day, showing that day’s main dishes and included sides at a glance. The “Included every day” card is still there for what the whole week shares, and dishes scheduled outside the active days are flagged so they never get lost.

Each day gets its own page

  • Clicking a day opens that day’s composition page: the main dishes of each meal and, next to them, the “What’s included” panel - everything in one place, with direct navigation to the previous and next day.
  • Sides (soup, drink, dessert…) now belong to the day and meal, not to each individual dish. Set them once and they apply to every dish of that meal - no more repeating group by group, dish by dish.
  • Moving a dish to another day or meal makes it adopt the destination’s sides - the dish no longer drags along inclusions that stopped making sense.
  • The weekly template still exists: a day without its own composition follows the branch’s pattern, and the page clearly warns when a day diverges from the pattern.

Choice lists that keep themselves up to date

Each side group gains three modes per category: all products, all except some, or only the chosen ones. The big difference is “all except”: a new product created in that category automatically joins the daily dish choices, without you having to edit anything again.

Ordering the daily dish got more direct

  • When a side group has only one possible choice, it comes pre-selected - the customer only chooses where there is a choice to make.
  • A required group whose products are all unavailable no longer traps the customer: the order goes through without that choice instead of blocking.

Small things

  • The day panel shows a single clear warning when saving fails, instead of several in a row.
  • The dish form got lighter and better organised.
  • The drag-to-reorder instructions are now translated for screen readers.
  • The page header no longer breaks out of place on small screens.
