TapNTable 0.10.16: validated end to end

Validated end to end

This release closes an in-browser validation campaign that walked through every area of the application - menus, orders, payments, reservations, marketing, emails, permissions, PWA and the public site - across three screen sizes and both themes. Everything the campaign surfaced is fixed in this release.

Privacy and security

  • Google Analytics now loads only after the visitor accepts cookies - on every page, no exceptions, and never inside the embedded widget. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately again.
  • Deactivating a user now ends their open sessions on every device at once - losing access now means exactly that.
  • Logo uploads now fail with a clear error if the file did not actually reach the server, instead of showing success with a missing logo.
  • Stripe keys can now be removed from the interface, for clean rotation or offboarding.

Easier to read, easier to tap

  • Menu highlight badges, the order tracking timeline, empty cart notices and the main buttons on customer pages were tuned for guaranteed contrast in both themes.
  • The custom discount colour now paints the prices customers see as well - with an automatic adjustment so it can never become unreadable.
  • Tabs gained accessible names for screen readers, touch areas grew in the footer and in tabs on small screens, and kitchen dialogs now carry descriptions for assistive technology.
  • The cart panel on the menu page no longer pushes the layout off screen on mid-sized windows.

Fixes across the board

  • The table order confirmation now correctly says “pay at the counter” when nothing has been paid yet - the “payment processed” message is reserved for actual payments.
  • Receipt and QR code print pages no longer trigger printing when opened via a direct link - a print button appears instead, and automatic printing stays in its dedicated window.
  • Marketing exclusions on an item now save; first-order coupons show the right status in the list; and the restaurant name is back in coupon emails.
  • Registering a takeaway payment pre-fills the tax number already given on the order.
  • The date range picker shows the right day in any timezone, inline-created daily dishes keep their name when edited, and email layout options now save reliably.
  • The “Delivery” section left the customer portal while it is under development, and the test-environment notice in the updater shows up again when it should.
  • On the public site, the devlog now always lists the newest version first and the home page describes the add-ons accurately.

Version 0.10.16 is available now and reaches installations through the built-in updater, as usual.
